Fallen Bikers - Dedicated to helping bereaved families and severely injured bikers
Message from Carlos Checa: my big support all friends from Fallen Bikers Best wishes!
Fallen Bikers is non-profitable charitable organization whose aim is to support injured motorcyclists and their families who have been involved in serious road accidents, we remain committed to making life better for individuals whose lives are affected by road traffic accidents. Our objective is to raise biker awareness within the community in order to reduce the risk of motorcycle accidents and fatalities and in doing so we aim to raise funds for motorcycle RTA victims who may be in need of financial help and support.
Please show your support by regularly visiting this website for latest news and updates, if you are a business or organization and would like to show your support or to advertise on our Website, Twitter or Facebook page, then please contact us and we will be happy to arrange this for you.
If you are a non-profit motorcycle group or charity and wish to share a link to your group or website then please contact us and we will happily put your details on our links page.
Fallen Bikers was created in memory of the much loved Carl Dolan, a Beloved Husband, Dad, Uncle, and Friend who was tragically taken from us far too soon, those that loved Carl will continue to keep his memory alive and to honour and respect him as we did in life and we will strive to raise biker awareness in hope that we can prevent other motorcyclists and their families from going through the loss and heartache that we as a family continue to endure.
Also remembering the many other motorcyclists who have been killed or seriously injured in motorcycle accidents.
Thank you to everyone who has purchased a Fallen Bikers goody pack recently, in doing so we have managed to raise £400 for 20yr old Aaron Kirby Marchington from New Mills in Stockport who on the 31st October around 4.30pm had a collision with a van that had pulled out of a side road into the path of his motorcycle.
Aaron was attended to and kept alive by passing first aiders until paramedics arrived some 30 minutes later, he was then rushed to hospital where he received life saving treatment, he had broken his spine in 4 places but thankfully due to a succesful spinal operation there was no damage to the spinal cord, Aaron also suffered numerous other injures as well as swelling of the brain.
Aaron and his family still have a long fight and many operations to go through, if you would like to offer Aaron and his family support you can join them on facebook under "Support for Aaron & family".
Huge thank you goes out to Land Rover Services, 36 Lindrick Road, New Marske, Cleveland, TS11 8HT for raising £130 for Fallen Bikers! it is greatly appreciated and will help bikers and their families.
Special thanks to Co-operative Funeralcare, Heaton Chapel, Stockport for hosting a charity Golf Day at Heaton Moor Golf Club in
aid of Fallen Bikers, a total of £704.00 was raised to help severley injured bikers and their families.
Huge thank you to Stockport Band Lemon Echo and band Manager Mick Simpson who together with the Horse and Jockey Pub,
Hazel Grove, Stockport raised £200.00 in way of a raffle to raise funds for Fallen Bikers.
Special thanks to both these companies as they have helped Fallen Bikers out a lot
Fallen Bikers are proud sponsors of Reddish North End Football Club (under 8's team).
In memory of the late Mr Carl Dolan whose passion for football also started from a very early age, Carl also played for many Reddish teams as a youngster and as an adult played Sunday league for the Thatch Tavern and Vale 93 who were also Reddish teams and therefore his Wife Karen thought it a fitting tribute to support this local kids team in memory of her Husband Carl.
Fallen Bikers would like to wish Reddish North End every success for the season.
Message from Carl Fogarty 4 times SBK World Champion: 'I am right behind the work of this new charity, which aims to provide support and comfort to bereaved families of bikers and also to help those with serious injuries. This is a great cause and I hope the charity is very successful.'
' Good luck with your new website Carl - hopefully it will provide both comfort and support to the many bikers who are injured every year and of course to their families. We wish you well - best wishes Suzi'

R.I.P Berny Ryder, words cannot express the deep sadness felt at this time, by everyone that knew you. A bright light on earth has gone out and there's a new star in the night sky. Forever loved, never forgotten xxx
Bern was taken from us on Sat 5th May 2012 doing what he loved and will be greatly missed by a great many people.
Uncle Carl I never got to say I love you as much as I wanted to but I do. But some how I know your near me looking over everything I do and I hope am making you proud of me. I will continue doing my best to make you proud and there's not one day goes by where I don't think bout the good times we all had and I miss you more everyday that goes I would do anything to hear your voice and see you again. If I could be half the man you was and as good as a husband to my wife like you were to karen then the 18 years of looking up to you has paid off and I never told anyone that. I will always remember the stuff you taught me and said to me. Uncle Carl I love you and miss you so much.

The funeral of the Marco Simoncelli will take place in Italy today, the service will take place in the church of Santa Maria Assunta in Coriano at 3pm.
The former 250GP world champion will be buried in the cemetery of his home town close to Riccione on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
We send our thoughts of sympathy to Marco's family and friends - he will never be forgotten as a unique talent; and like many I hoped we would see him win the MotoGP title one day.
RIP Marco Simoncelli 20 January 1987 – 23 October 2011

The world of Moto GP will be mourning a talented icon today, his family and friends are in our prayers. Rest in Peace and ride high with our Brothers in heaven.
A tragic loss in the world of Moto GP today when Marco Simoncelli was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident.
Marco a charasmatic rider who lived his life to the full both on, and off the track, a talented young man who will be sadly missed in the world of motorcycling.
Our thoughts and condolences to all Marco's family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time. x x x
Happy Birthday Carl tomorrow (19/10/11) Not able to post hence why writing this now. Even though you are not with us, you will always be with me Carl. Have a great time up there eh, not too many WKD`s. Always in our thoughts not just today!
My friend Hayley has told us a heartwarming story of her friend Carl and what he and his family went through just a year ago, I am not a biker and so I dont know why... but I just had to come on here and have a look for myself, and I have to say (as big and daft as I am) I have shed a tear or two reading about the bikers who have been killed, I never really thought about it.... but under that helmet is a person, a person who is loved.
When I am out driving be it in my car or truck I will make a concious effort to look out more for motorcycles because of what I have seen on here.
God bless you and all your families, I will pray for you all.
Jeff North and family.
I worked with Carl several years ago, I moved to Shrewsbury and we lost touch and I only recently found about his death, but I always remember his contagious laugh and great sense of humour and even back then he was car and bike mad and mithered the hell out of me to let him ride my Ninja round the car park!
Ride easy wherever you are and remember shiny side up :) R.I.P Mate.
Carl, I cant believe a year has passed already, it seems like yesterday that you would call me at work and give me earache about getting deliveries out to you on time! you were a great manager and well respected for it.
We all miss you here and often speak about you, sleep tight dear friend from everyone here at Window Fashions. x x x
Carl, 13.10.10
Remembering you and all the laughs and tears we had shared over the years, remembering how 4 years ago you saved my Daughters life and if it was'nt for you she would'nt be here today.
Thinking of your wife and son at what must be a very tough time for them and knowing how proud you would be of all they have achieved in your memory.
And I know how angry and disgusted you would be at the relatives you rejected and hated who now confuse grief with GUILT!!!!!!!!
Rest easy pal knowing we will be there for those you loved and left behind x x
Carl "Doey" Dolan 19.10.73 - 13.10.10
A year has passed without holding you in my arms, without seeing your smile or hearing you laugh, Doey you are constantly in my thoughts and forever in my heart, and you will be my Husband forever more and I know you will walk alongside me throughout my life until we are reunited, until then wait patiently for me my love x x x x
We could shed tears that you have gone
But we smile because you have lived
We could close our eyes and pray that you will come back
But we open our eyes and see all that you have left
Our hearts could be empty because your not around
But our hearts are full of the memories and love that you shared
We could remember you and only that you are gone
But we cherish your memory Doey and will let it live on x x x x
The love to whom you gave is equal to the love you have taken with you x
It's almost a year since i lost one of my closest friends who i looked up to as a brother and who was always there for me. I can honestly say there is not one day i dont think about him. remembering growing up as kids and the support he gave to me later on when times were sometimes tough. I can also say i have yet to meet a more devoted husband and father and i know although he is no longer with us he is most definetely looking down on us all. They say all the good people get taken early and i really believe that. RIP Carl - Miss ya buddy!
Can`t believe it is nearly 12 months (13/10/10) since we lost you Carl. You will always be in my thoughts, special person that you were, your memory will live on!
Many of you know that I have been approached on a number of occasions by a well known book publisher to write my story, after many discussions I am now in the process of writing a book about my Husband Carl, it talks about his life, his relatives, the love for his family friends, also his accident and his brave fight for life and how it devastated the lives of those that he loved and left behind.
The book will hopefully be published in the summer of 2012 so please watch this space x
Remembering my old pal Andy Candanella sadly taken from us on 15.03.99 when a stolen car hit him while he was sat stationary at a set of traffic lights. Andy's 3 girls were left without a Dad and the driver was never caught.
Please be aware of bikers as they too have a family so dont you be the one to take them away from em.
Great work Fallen Bikers keep it up.
A truly wonderful and worthy cause keep up the good work and the fight for bikers everywhere, such remarkable and heartfelt stories and you are all truly inspirational people whose dedication and commitment at such a difficult times leaves us all in complete awe.
I am a biker and since becoming a member and reading your experiences it has made me so aware of the dangers out there and I am now a much better rider for it, because everytime I get on my bike I remember those that have fallen and the families that have been left behind.
Your Husbands and loved ones would be so very proud of you all for everything you have achieved in their memory.
Wishing you every happiness and success for the future, Sarah x :)
If you listen carefully you can hear Rat spinning in his grave at the thought of those sick bas**** sat there today!! well your about ten to twenty years too late because even in death he wouldnt forgive you... he hated you and thats the one thing you can all be certain of, suprisingly even in death you cant respect his wishes.
Well done guys....Keep the flag of the bikers up....
United we stand....Divided we fall
Very Good Work buddies - Keep it up -

It is saddening to hear that so many of our loved ones have been tragically taken from us far too soon, and often so very needlessly.
Please take the time to look before you pull out of a junction, use your mirrors and be aware of bikers because they are somebodys loved one too.
If you would like to pay tribute to your lost loved one here on Fallen Bikers please e-mail a photo and a tribute to fallenbikers@hotmail.co.uk where they will be honoured and remembered alongside those that have fallen.
Will wear our patches in honour of my 21 yr old son Jason, killed 20/2/10 when 44 ton lorry driver didnt see him and drove thro him in Cornwall, love n respect to all
Its only a suggestion to all the families who have lost their loved ones, after reading all your heartfelt stories and tributes on facebook and your website, I feel it would be most beneficial if you wrote your individual stories and published them in a book together, as in my own admittance I do not know any motorcyclists and in fact I have never been on a motorbike ever! however I was so touched and saddened by your loss that as a driver I have now started to look out for motorcyclists and have become aware of how it affects so many lives and not just that of the motorcyclist and I think it could help raise biker awareness.
I work for a well known publisher and we would be most interested in talking to you.
Sadly two young men I knew were killed on bikes, (Brock Stringer and Carl Dolan from reddish) and I will proudly wear my badge in respect for both of them, ride side by side together in heaven boys.
Remembering my Brother Lee Wardell 16.15.1982 - 13.05.05 killed on a roundabout when a car driver didnt look properly, Lee died 3 days later in hospital. Sleep tight Bruv until we meet again x x

Andy the Manc your comment says it all, especially true for the estranged relatives (and I say relatives lightly!) of a certain young man who was very dear to me.... a man I met as a business client, but with whom I ended up good friends.

I agree with Cath's comment and I take my hat off to all the families that have shared their stories on here and facebook it must of been so hard for you to do, but yet so very brave and unselfish.
Love and respect to you all on a job well done and best of luck for the future to you and your families.
Awesome website, awesome cause! I lost my partner in a bike crash 6 years ago and there were no support groups or anything like this and I felt so alone in my grief, I only wish this was done earlier its a great idea and I wish you every success Karen and I would love to help you in anyway I can. best wishes and love to all the families out there whose bikers have fallen.
I saw a poster for Fallen Bikers yesterday in Stockport and came on the site to see what it was all about, I sat here in tears reading about all the lives lost through careless driving, my love goes out to all the families who have so tragically lost a loved one and may I say you are all so very brave to share your stories in hope to help save another motorcyclists life. God bless you all x x x
To be fair Rat didnt give a crap about them either lol x
I lost a family member recently, a member of RISING MOON MCC, not to a RTA but nevertheless he is now riding the heavens on his hog.. Being a car driver myself, I would tend not to notice bikres on the road and often didnt look hard enough in my mirrors, (much to my admitting embarrassment now). I have since joined the same bike club (still driving a car for now) and it has educated me in the ways of the 2 & sometimes 3 wheeled brother and sisters I have joined. I drive with my eyes wide open nowadays and i am exeptionaly cautious about looking for riders in traffic. It may not seem important to some but when you lose somebody special in your life it changes you mentally. I am proud to be a small part of a large biker comunity.RIP 'MOG'.. Rising Moon MCC family member for life.
The same applies to a certain Reddish family that never gave a crap about someone until he died! and that was only to save face to people as they were to ashamed to admit it and there guilt caused them not only to lie and dishonour a man that had been tragically killed but also his wife, kid and mates! I say carry your guilt forever coz he would be more ashamed and disgraced with you all now than he ever was when he was alive. RIP. RAT
Well said Andy, hit and run drivers are the worst although every driver that kills someone through lack of judgment/attention deserves to carry that guilt forever as the family carry the loss for eternity x x
Guilt is regret for what you've done, regret is guilt for what you did'nt do, either way it will get heavier and heavier as you carry it with you throughout life and there are people out there who deserve to be weighed down forever for what they have done to these bikers and their families.
Where can I purchase a patch for my jacket? I lost a dear friend in bike RTA and would like to wear one in his memory. thanks.
Got my Fallen Bikers lapel badge and im proud to be wearing it in memory of Carl along with so many others. Karen and Dale, Carl was always so very proud of you both and always spoke about you whenever we met, but he would be especially proud of all you have achieved in his memory, well done and good luck with Fallen Bikers.
While I was in Wales this weekend I visited Carls grave and smiled when I saw his headstone, perfect, he would love it!!!
Great work guys keep it up, very worthwhile charity in memory of a good man.
I am a regular visitor to this site and I attended the Knee down which was a fantastic night! and I for one was proud to be there representing the great man himself, Mr Carl Dolan.
They say behind every good man is a good woman, well I have to agree as Karen is probably one of the strongest women I have ever met, her strength and determination at such a difficult time leaves me in complete awe, she is such an amazing lady.
Carl would be so very very proud of all that Karen, Dale, Carl, Rik, Stu and Walt have achieved in his memory, and knowing that biker awareness is being raised in hope that another bikers life is saved, and that biker could be me, so keep up the good work and I will be attending your next event with pride.
Great website Carl well done!
Since we first spoke you've grown so fast and this new site is amazing. This is going to be something Veeeeery big and worthwhile.
Hi I just wanted to say what a great charity this is and I and my husband attended the first knee down event on the 26th of February at the Hazel Grove, Reform Club, we had a fantastic time and Karen deserves all the praise and help she can get for setting this charity up. I would also like to say Carl Rea also deserves allot of praise for his efforts with the site and charity.
Dave I'm sorry to here about your son, its such a tragic thing to happen to any family. He will always be in your heart and in your memories, cherish them they can never be taken away from you. My husband was killed nearly 2yrs ago, my thoughts are with you. You should have his picture and tribute on the site. take care Janis
